Accessibility Statement

The Law Offices of Anthony J. Pullara is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards to this website, including both our English and Spanish experiences.

Conformance goal

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, and we implement WCAG 2.2 Level AA improvements where practical (for example, touch/target size, focus visibility, and form usability). This statement describes the accessibility work completed on our site as of the date below. Accessibility is an ongoing effort; we do not claim permanent, universal conformance for every third-party resource on the internet.

Measures we have taken

As part of a site-wide accessibility remediation (English and Spanish), we have addressed the following:

Site-wide foundations

  • Browser zoom: Pages allow zooming and scaling (viewport is not locked).
  • Color contrast: Text and interactive elements were remediated for sufficient contrast.
  • Keyboard access: Visible focus indicators, skip-to-main-content, and keyboard operation of primary navigation and interactive controls.
  • Mobile menu: Improved keyboard behavior (including Escape) and focus handling for the mobile navigation experience.
  • Landmarks & structure: Clearer page structure for assistive technologies; heading levels corrected where skips were found (for example, Resources and firm overview content).
  • Images: Meaningful alternative text added for informative images in the media library used on the site.
  • Maps: Google Maps embeds receive accessible names/titles where we control the markup; map-related links meet minimum target-size expectations where applicable.

Contact forms (English and Spanish)

  • Visible field labels and required-field indication.
  • Keyboard-accessible forms with clear error messaging.
  • Spanish contact experience uses Spanish labels and error text.
  • Usability improvements such as autocomplete attributes, focus to the first error when validation fails, and hardened honeypot handling for spam fields.
  • Verified with automated checks, manual keyboard testing, and screen-reader testing (NVDA) on priority Contact pages.

English and Spanish site experience

  • Spanish pages use Spanish primary navigation and header chrome (including Spanish menu/contact labeling on mobile).
  • Footer legal links on Spanish pages point to Spanish destinations (disclaimer, privacy policy, and this accessibility statement) with Spanish link text.
  • Language switcher in the footer (“En español” / “In English”) is available to move between the English and Spanish home experiences.
  • Expanded Spanish content coverage, including frequently asked questions, privacy policy, practice topics (including DUI and Proposition 47), office location, DACA-related pages, and other key practice content aligned with the English site.
  • Text-based brand identity in headers for clearer, scalable presentation.

Documents and third-party content we control

  • PDF links are labeled as PDF in link text where practical (for example, Resources).
  • The Padilla v. Kentucky opinion linked from Resources is hosted on this website as a downloadable PDF of the Supreme Court opinion, with document metadata (title/language). Court opinions are official public documents; we label them clearly as PDFs.

Assessment approach

  • Automated testing: Site pages were evaluated with axe-core / Pa11y-style checks. A full remediation prove pass reported no Critical or Serious automated issues across the English and Spanish page set tested at that time.
  • Manual keyboard testing: Priority paths including Home and Contact (English and Spanish).
  • Screen reader testing: NVDA testing on Contact (English and Spanish), with operator sign-off during remediation.

Known limitations

  • Third-party content: Content we link to outside this website (government sites, court systems, news, maps, and similar) may not meet the same accessibility standards. Where we link to PDFs, we identify them as PDFs in the link text when practical.
  • Google Maps: Map embeds are third-party widgets. We provide accessible names/titles where we control the embed markup; the map product itself is operated by Google.
  • Ongoing content: New pages or media added in the future will be reviewed as part of ongoing maintenance. If you find a barrier, please tell us using the feedback contacts below.
